Buckingham Foods make sandwiches for several big brands and they're always creating new sandwiches. At their ideas meeting, the design team discusses a new 'Christmas' sandwich - what could go into it and how to balance considerations of taste and health. The team then tastes some potential ingredients to see what works well together and what doesn't. On the sandwich-making mass production line we see machines automatically slicing tomatoes and ham, chopping cucumbers, spreading butter and cutting and packing the finished sandwiches. The design team then compare one of their sandwiches with those of their competitors by doing a 'blind' taste test to be sure they're still on top of their game.
