We always think it's lovely that we are still allowed to teach such nice old stuff as Collective Nouns. It has a wonderful old 1950s textbook feel to it, don't you think? Well when you have taught it you had better test it and what better way to do it than with this online quiz. Go and have a look, you won't be disappointed.
There are now two quizzes on Collective Nouns, just take your pick.

Useful recap/reference with examples on nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs and exclamations. Also some 'wacky web tales' where you type in (say) a 'plural noun' and 'one-syllable verb' etc: these are then inserted into a text and they do sound funny. Best part is that it makes children think about what the parts of speech are.
